About The Show Tom, a hard-boiled private eye, finds himself bound to the prostitute Angela whom he believes holds the vital information he desperately requires to resolve the case that has occupied him for years. Victimized by a traumatic childhood, the fragile and unstable Angela, will never reveal what she knows for she is equally bound to Tom in the desperate hope of receiving the warmth and affection she has always been denied. It is known that Arthur Miller’s plays were autobiographical even though he never admitted as much. We have determined from our research that Some Kind Of Love Story reveals a relationship that had a profound impact on his life, one he must have felt compelled to uncover - the intimacy they shared. We are excited to present this unknown play by Arthur Miller in its West Coast Premiere. It was originally produced in 1982 at the Long Warf Theatre in Connecticut, directed by Arthur Miller himself. It has not been produced anywhere until now at the Hayworth. It was produced as a workshop at the Actors Studio last year with Martin Landau and Mark Rydell as Co-Artistic Directors. SOME KIND OF LOVE STORY runs August 3rd through August 24th, 2008. Performances are at The Hayworth Theatre at 2509 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Sundays at 7 PM. Tickets are $20. Running time is 110 minutes with intermission. Allow time for street parking. Previews July 30th, July 31st and Aug 1st 8 PM. For reservations go to www.thehayworth.com
