Over the past several years, StageSceneLA.com
Editor Steven Stanley has become known as one
of the most outspoken advocates of Los Angeles
theater.

As an Ovation Awards voter for two seasons
(2005-2007), he attended and voted on over 375
productions. Since 2004, he has "been to the
theater" over 1000 times.

As an actor, Mr. Stanley has appeared on many
Los Angeles area stages: the Lilian, the Actor's
Group Theatre, the Stephanie Feurie Studio
Theatre, the Gardner Stages, the Powerhouse
Theater, the Complex, the Sierra Madre
Playhouse, and the Whittier Center Theatre.

It was Mr. Stanley's desire to create a website
which would celebrate the richness of our Los
Angeles theater scene which led him to create
StageSceneLA.com, the website which
"accentuates the positive in Los Angeles theater."
